Halo Malaysia...[hehe...cam poyo]
We were safely arrived @ Hanoi yesterday @ 8.40 am...
someone from the travel agent pick us from airport...
and we already saw something that we rarely [or never] see in malaysia..have a look..:))
yihaa..the pink baby pig[or can we call them pinky piggies] on a motorcycle..hehehe..we stayed @ one of the youth hostel in Hanoi..[there are a few youth hostels here and at first the taxi driver took us to the wrong one..]ours located @ Pho Bat Su
and we start our journey by having a walk in the city. FYI our hotel is located in the city itself [well, it's not a very big city btw].we can see some of their lifestyle..
there are lots of lily here..esp white lillies..they are so gorgeous..semuanya gemuk2 dan segar2..seriously..rasa cam nak beli jer bawak balik hotel..tp sbb travel budget..amek gamba jela..
there are also fruits like grape, plum, pineapple and mata kucing sold here...
our first visit is to the one of the temples, Temple Ngoc Son..it's just like another temples to me..maybe becuase i have seen angkor wat [which is the most amazing temple for me]
then, we walk again..people here seems like rarely see people with tudung..they look at us like they never seen any before..some of them ask, some of them were just looking..some smiling at us..
then, we met 2 malaysian on our way to find one halal food restaurant here..they are ericson employees..outstation here until this August..there were also malaysian that we met travelling here..it's easier for them to recognize us because of our attire..hehe..
along our way, we can see that vietnamese love to eat beside the road and sit at the small chairs and table..i think those are used for kids in our country, but they use it widely here..
it look cute tho..and their foods look yummy too..
at night, we watch water puppet master and it's kinda boring..maybe children will like it..well, i'm not so sure..later, we ate at the halal restaurant, which is owned by malaysian and manage by vietnamese name mohamad. he used to study at malaysia[sekolah pondok] and have been to all states in malaysia except sabah n sarawak..wow!that's cool..he can talk in malay very well..
later that night, we bought some souvenirs before heading to hotel...
Day 2: Day 2 starts early @ 8am..and it was raining..all day long...
a minibus pick us at our hotel to Halong Bay. There are also vietnamese, koreans, japans with us in the same trip today...trip to halong bay takes 31/2 hours..
we stop at Thanh Dong Humanity Centre where there were handicap make some craft to sell to tourist. there are sewing the posters..yup..sewing the posters..its very fine like it was painted to the canvas..i would buy one if i got more money..but..as said before..budget trip..huuu
we arrived at Halong Bay at about 12pm..we get into the boat and we went to the place..it looks like phuket....and it still raining..
then, when we arrive at Hang Daugo, we were amazed..the cave is so awesome..so beautiful..our tourist guide keep on explaining about history of the cave and the magical stories about the dragon, heaven, princess, turtle, lion..i don't really pay attention to that, but just keep looking around the cave, because it was amazingly stunning stalagtites and stalagmites...it really is..this is the highlight of the first 2 days or our journey..i can't capture the cave very well using camera because i only use 50mm..personally, i think that this is one of the most beautiful cave in the world.
the journey ends at about 730pm and they sent us back to our hotel..still the image of the cave emblazoned in my head..and the cute tourist guide [hehe]..reminds me of yusuf [tonle sap/siem reap tourist guide]
tomorrow we planned to visit museum and musoleum around hanoi..but bad news.. just found out that many of it closed on monday...dem dem demmmmm..
well..thats what we called journey...expect the unexpected..i try to keep myself positif here :)
